 .: Elemental Protectors :.
« Thread Started on May 11, 2007, 5:13pm »

Otherwise known as pets, Elemental Protectors will be bonded to your character, supporting them and remaining loyal until the end. They each belong to a certain Element, and possess certain powers of that assigned element. Those elements are: Earth, Fire, Water, Air, Ice, Lightning, Dark and Light. For more information on each element, please continue to read below, and if you still have any questions about a particular element, feel free to PM me.

Earth: Creatures of the Earth element have the ability to control the ground. Controlling the ground includes the ability to create earthquakes, rock slides, move rocks, etc., all with their aura. Below are the animals of the Earth element:

Wolf - Wolves of the Earth Element are almost always brown. Any shade is allowed, and gray parts aren’t rare. There’s usually not any white, but small amounts are allowed, as well as black. Stocky build, with rough, thick fur. Bushy ruff and mane, with brush rather than feathers on the legs and tail.

Horse - Horses of the Earth Element are usually mustangs, with a tendency to show traits of Shire and Friesian, color varying from dark chocolate brown to a dirty black. Thick manes and tails, and the muscles are well built and stocky. Eyes are always dark brown.

Deer - Almost always deer are found in shades of brown, and the only exception is gray. Antlers always adorn the elegant heads, whether it is male or female. Legs are long and slender, and well support their lean frames.

Bear - Bears of the Earth Element are usually smaller than normal sized bears, shoulders coming to a height of about three feet tall, or around the waist of a normal sized human. What they lack in height is made up for in build, their bodies thick and muscled. Shaggy fur varies from dark brown to brownish black.

Plant: (Also known as Grass) Animals of this element have the power to control plants. They can use the foliage around them to hide themselves or change the plant - using their aura - into a weapon of that element. The creatures of this element are listed below:

Badger - Colors are always black with white stripe from nose to tail. Thick shaggy fur covers the stocky build of Badgers. Eyes are small and beady, and short legs are not built for running, though they can move at lightning speed for quick attacks.

Horse - Falling more or less under the name ‘Grass’ rather than ‘Plant’, Horses of this Element come in a great variety of shades, ranging from Light brown to gray, with shades of green-brown in between. Manes are silky, coming in any color possible.

Goat - Goats of the Grass Element are small, with fur shading from gray to brown. Small horns sprout from the tops of the heads, right between the ears, of both males and females. Little tufts of fur give the goats a beard effect, creating a rather comical sight.

Fire: This is pretty self-explanatory – the animals that prefer to merge with fire instead of any other element. The creatures of the Fire element prefer to stay around hot places and have a slight passion for burning things whenever they can. Usually a form of orange, red and yellow in color, every animal of the Fire element can breathe or create fire in a way. Below are the creatures of the Fire element:

Wolf - A Wolf of the Fire Element is usually colored black, with either red legs and tail or orangish underbelly and muzzle. Any combination of the colors black, red, orange, and brown are valid. Build is usually bulky and thick-coated. Eyes can vary from golden brown to fiery red.

Fox - Foxes of the Fire Element are always orangish red, with either black or white additions. Long tail is bushy, and the always alert ears are tall atop the head. Eyes can be any shade of emerald green, red, but more commonly brown.

Hawk - Hawks of the Fire Element have either gray or brown feathers, tipped in red. The most common species of Hawks of the Fire Element are Red-tailed hawks. Their keen eyes, always black, can focus in on almost anything.

Horse - Horses of the Fire Element are slightly rarer than Horses of other Elements. They come in mostly blacks, or else shades of reddish brown. Eyes are dark red, and the mane and tail are brightly shaded red, as if tinting at the powers of Fire. Their bodies are sturdy, but can be used to move extremely quickly.

Water: Those of the Water element prefer to mingle with water instead of any other element. Creatures of the Water element can control water—including making tidal waves and such. They’re hardly ever seen away from a source of water, and if they go without a source of water for a long time, they get very hard to handle and their skin often starts to dry up. Animals of the Water element are listed below:

Turtle - Colored like normal turtles, those of the Water Elements' sizes can vary greatly, from being able to fit in the palm of your hand to nealy as tall as the knee.

Seal - Seals must remain out of hot and dry places as much as possible, though they can remain out of water for long periods of time, it is best to have some relief for them at the end of the day. Their coloring can vary from light gray to white.

Duck - Though sometimes noisy, Ducks are very loyal to their Bonded. They can come in nearly any possible color that do not reach the extremities (ie. pink, purple, etc.) but excludes red.

Watersnake - A particuliar species of snake that has adapted to the Water Element, watersnakes have long, thin fins to help push them easily through water. On land, that use their bodies to slither like a snake, and do not use the fins. They come in a variety of colors, including odd patterns on their soft, scaly bodies.

Air: Creatures of the Air element almost always have wings and also possess the ability to control the air via their wings or their aura. They are often neutral or pastel colors, ranging from crème to a soft baby blue. The animals of the Air element are listed below:

Hawk - Hawks of the Air Element are much lighter on color than their Fire cousins. Although they do still have red at the ends of their feathers if they are the red-tailed species, the color is dulled to a more pastel red, and the gray that colors them elsewhere is lighter in hues.

Owl - The Owls that belong to the Air Element are always white, sometimes with light gray speckles. The wings are tipped in gray, and the beak aswell. The tail feathers are mostly white and gray, though sometimes black can be found.

Sparrow - Spearows are small little birds, that can come in almost any color combination, though the most common is gray, black, white, and brown. They are very fast, and beat their wings rapidly to keep aloft.

Eagle - Eagles of the Air Element almost always come in golden white colors, though sometimes black can rim their eyes. These elegant birgs are graceful, but can become as fierce as the greatest raptor if nessecairy.

Ice: Animals that prefer the Ice element have the power to control ice or snow. They can also create ice, be it icicles and small piles of snow—although the top-level Ice creatures can create snowstorms and ice storms if they’re powerful enough. Always cold to the touch, these animals often prefer mountainous territory—and most of them are laid back beasts. Creatures of the Ice element are listed below:

Deer - The Deer of the Ice Element are almost always pale brown to white, and their eyes come in either brown or blue. In the Ice Element, only the Male deer have antlers. The color on their slender legs sometimes shade down, from light gray to darker.

Arctic fox - Smaller than the normal foxes, Arctic Foxes of the Ice Elements' fur is always white, no matter the season. Their long bushy tails can help to determine their mood aswell as their age, the younger foxes having shorter tails than the elder ones.

Wolf - A bit smaller than the Timber wolf, Arctic wolves of the Ice Element are usually light gray to white. Black and brown is not acceptable on any fur combination. Their legs are longer than other wolves', and their fur is a bit less bushy and more feathery.

Snowy Ferret - Snowy Ferrets are almost always white, and their fur is very soft to the touch. They can sometimes have small markings on the face and paws of black, but usually brown is quite uncommon for those of the Ice Element.

Lightning: Creatures of the Lightning element are partial to storms and the weather. They can create lightning through many means as well as being able to draw power from electrical sources. They often have determined personalities, although this may vary, as it always does. The animals of the Lightning element are listed below:

Raptors - Raptor birds, such as hawks, falcons, and eagles, can be of the Lightning Element. Their feathering can vary depending on the species, but mostly the are of any color, with black jagged lines down the tips of their wings. Sometimes they can be of a yellowish brown color.

Coyote - A relative of the wolf, Coyotes are smaller and thinner in comparison to their larger cousins. They often have a sandy colored coat, with markings such as black paws and back that define their Element origins. Their fames are rather lean, but sturdy all the same, and their jaws and muzzle are long and pointed.

Dark: The complete opposite of animals of the Light element, those of the Dark element are stereotyped to take pleasure in pain and such (although not all of the creatures of this element are like that). They love the darkness and their colors are always dim, some of the most common colors being black and dark violet. The animals of the Dark element are listed below:

Wolf - Wolves of the Dark Element are always black, solid with no other colors. They can have brown or black eyes, and their fur is thick but soft. Their build is mostly muscular, but sometimes they can be rather small.

Bat - Bats can vary accross many different species. They come in black or very dark brown.

Owl - Owls of the Dark Element are usually black, but some dark brown aren't unusual, either. Their feathers are soft and thick, and don't make a sound when they fly.

Raccoon - Clever little mischief makers, raccoons come in any kind of combination of black, gray, and brown. Usualy they have a black mask, black paws, gray underbelly, and brown back with soft stripes

Light: The animals of the Light Element are not usually used for Battle, as their personalities are against the idea of bloodshed, though they will fight if needed to. They come in mostly white colors, though other colors are seen. The animals of the Light element are listed below:

Dove - Doves are always white, with very soft feathers. Theu can sometimes have light gray spots, but mostly that is uncommun among Doves of the Light Element.

Eagle - Eagles of the Light Element are pale golden colored, with soft feathering aswell. Their natures are against fighting, unlike their usual species, and that is why there are not as many around as other species.

Badger - Badgers of the Light Element are colored opposite to that of the normal coloring; white with a black stripe other than black with a white stripe. Their eyes are soft set, small, black and beady.

There are a few Elemental Protectors that do not belong to a specific Element and can be of any Element. They are:

Cats
Dogs
Squirrel (Though some restrictions apply)
